On 22 March 2009 Leon collapsed in the 63rd minute of a game against Celtic Crusaders Reserves at
Maesteg rugby union ground. He was airlifted to Morriston Hospital, Swansea, where he was pronounced
dead.
Before joining Salford, he played for amateur side Churwell Chiefs. Walker joined the Salford City
Reds in 2006 and played for the club for three years. After his rookie season he was named the
Salford Reds Junior Academy Player of the Year.
In 2007 Walker represented both the Yorkshire and England U18 sides.
He joined the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats in November 2008, joining their senior academy side.

sorry i havn't popped in for a few week iv been away on hol and had a pretty rough few weeks still not feeling 100% now but hopefuly the doc will sort me out when i go this evening ha... bet your glad iv not been in to chat you hear off aint ya??

hi son im sorry i have not left you a message or light you a candle. this week has been one of the worst of my live, martin has now layed your base and your mum has nearly finshed your wording. olli has gone back 2 churwell rugby, reagan hopes she can find a girls team soon. archie has just opened his hair saloon he and his mates made a great job on ollis hair, archie then gave all the days takeings to take heart. love n miss you son till we meet again dad. xxx
